Join us for a wine adventure in one of the most fascinating countries of the world: Morocco! This beautiful country makes fantastic wines due to its high mountains and cooling influences of the Atlantic ocean.
We start our journey in the romantic city of Casablanca before heading off on our wine tasting adventure to the winemaking areas of Benslimane and Meknes visiting two very special wineries.
We continue our journey south across the coastal and dessert roads to Marrakech where we spend some time discovering the city as well as continuing to enjoy the country's delicious wines. Our tour finishes with a memorable visit to Essaouria where guests can witness tree climbing goats as well as tasting more stunning wines at another vineyard.
DAY ONE Early evening arrival in Casablanca. Guests are met at the airport by and then escorted to our riad in Casablanca. Upon arrival to the riad, check-in and free time to rest or check out the Casablanca nightlife!
DAY TWO After breakfast, you will be transferred to Benslimane which is one hour far from Casablanca. Visit to Domaine Ouled Thaleb in Benslimane. Located between Rabat and Casablanca, the vineyard grows many of its own grapes onsite and follow organic‐farming principles, though grapes are also sometimes sourced from local vineyards too. The area’s cooler temperature leads to a different taste of the wines when compared with those produced in Meknes. Following our wine tasting, we will enjoy lunch in the vineyard's panoramic restaurant offering the ideal place to relax and soak up the vistas while choosing the best wine to pair with a sumptuous meal. After our lunch we continue towards Meknes where we will visit Domaine of La Zouina. Created by the French at the start of the 20th century, the vineyard is the birthplace of the renowned Volubilia label. The wines made here are often said to be some of the best in the country. We will sample fine wines and oils with delicious nibbles while admiring the views. Visitors can also treat themselves to some goodies to take home. Our winery tour will be followed by a guided visit of Volubilis Roman Ruins. Dinner and overnight at the Riad Ritaj in Meknes.
DAY THREE After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic visit in Meknes before heading towards Marrakech which will take about 6 hours to arrive. On the way we enjoy Smiling Grape's infamous 'Wine Karaoke'.
