The London World Record-Breaking Pub Crawl
* Saturday 7 September 2019 *

Join our group of beer loving adventurers as we attempt the Guinness World Record for '
Most Pubs Visited In 24 Hours By A Team'...

The current World Record stands at 250 pubs and was achieved by a team of 13 in New York City in September 2011. Now the time has come to beat this number and show the Americans how the British can perform in the art of pub crawling!

If successful, you will receive a very special certificate, a possible feature in the Guinness World Records annual as well as joining the history books of pub crawls!

Friday 6 September 2019
Team members arrive at leisure in London and meet up with the group for a quick pub crawl
to discuss our strategy for tomorrow's big challenge!  Members can also join us early on Saturday morning, the choice is yours!

Saturday 7 September 2019 - Sunday 8 September 2019
We wake early for breakfast and have a meeting to discuss any final changes to the pub crawl route and make sure all the paperwork is in order.

At about 8am on a Saturday we hit the streets and head for pub number one!

Our pub crawl will see us visit pubs throughout the W1 London postal district including over 200 bars and pubs in historic areas of Soho, Marylebone, Mayfair and Fitzrovia.

GWR Record Definition
  • This record is for the most licensed public houses visited within 24 hours.
  • This record is to be attempted by a team of no more than 20.
  • The record is measured by the number of pubs visited in the given time.

Rules for Most Pubs Visited In 24 Hours By A Team
  1. The record is for the most licensed public houses (pubs/bars) visited within 24 hours.
  2. No pub/bar may be visited more than once on the journey.
  3. A log book must be signed by the manager/landlord of the pub/bar alongside the venue name and address, confirming that a drink has been purchased and consumed. A map of the route taken by each pub crawl must be submitted with the claim.

  5. At least a 0.28 l (half a pint) glass or 125 ml (4.39 fl oz) glass of drink must be consumed in each venue visited. Confirmation of this must be included in the log book.
  6. For the purposes of this record, non-alcoholic drinks are also acceptable.
  7. The team must remain together and must remain the same throughout the attempt. If the team divides or any participant drops out, he or she will not count as part of the team that achieves the record.

  9. Guinness World Records will not validate any record attempt where participants younger than 18 years of age have consumed alcohol.

We will stop for very quick pre-ordered lunch, dinner and early breakfast along the way as the clock does not stop for this challenge! We will keep going until we reach a record breaking number of pubs!
